CRLA Certification

What is CRLA Certification?

The College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) is an internationally recognized organization that sets professional standards for tutoring and academic support programs. CRLA’s International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITTPC) provides colleges and universities with a framework to train tutors in essential skills, strategies, and ethics that support student learning.

Why is CRLA Certification Important?

  • For Tutors: Earning CRLA certification means our tutors have completed structured training in areas such as active listening, study strategies, learning theory, and cultural awareness. This preparation helps them become more confident, professional, and effective in their role.
  • For Students: Working with a CRLA-certified tutor ensures that students are receiving high-quality academic support backed by national standards. Students benefit from tutors who are not only knowledgeable in their subject areas but also skilled in fostering independent learning and critical thinking.

By choosing a CRLA-certified tutor, students can trust that they are partnering with someone who has been carefully trained to support their academic success.
