Maria Willhoit

Maria is the senior program coordinator for Supplemental Instruction (“SI”) in the Academic Learning & Tutoring Center. She enjoys working with students and young adults and helping them to develop their interests and skills. 

Raised in New Orleans, Maria attended the George Washington University and obtained her bachelor’s degree in English and International Affairs and her master’s degree in American Studies. She has worked in a variety of educational environments, from non-profits to government agencies. She has taught ESL in New Orleans and in Ukraine. When not assisting students, she enjoys cooking, running, listening to podcasts, spending time with her family, and following the New Orleans Saints.
